Behind the Ideas
Simon Tearpak is an innovative leader with over a decade of experience shaping communities and driving change. Simon’s journey began at Pueblo StepUp, a nonprofit committed to serving Pueblo’s underserved populations. As their development director, he penned compelling grants to fund initiatives, rallied stakeholders, and created events that fueled the agency’s mission.
Simon continued his journey as deputy director at El Pueblo History Museum, where he worked with the Pueblo community to foster storytelling, honor and elevate history, and spearhead cutting-edge events and projects. These included Whiskeys of the West event—a whiskey tasting festival featuring Colorado’s finest distillers, the Bruja Brew Fest, a craft beer and cider festival featuring Colorado craft beers and ciders, and Fandango, a celebration of folklorico dance that drew hundreds in attendance and featured some of the finest dance troupes in the United States.
Simon also led exhibit development on “Without Borders”. This exhibit delved into the scars of colonialism and spotlighted indigenous resilience throughout the Southwestern United States. World-renowned artists contributed their works to this exhibit, which accompanied “Borderlands of Southern Colorado”, the museum's main permanent exhibit.
Fast forward to the private healthcare tech sector. Simon, now an associate state network director for Colorado and customer success executive with Unite Us, spearheaded coordinated care networks in both urban and rural geographies. Think interconnected hubs—hospitals and health systems, nonprofits, grassroots organizations—all working to address social determinants of health powered by technology. Simon empowered communities to serve their members by working with leaders to understand their needs, address concerns, host community information sessions, build engagement strategies, and build project plans to ensure success.
And where does Simon’s expertise converge? IdeaHouse—a creative firm where visions and ideas ignite. Here, he blends experience, passion, and understanding of both the private and public sector to create space to dream big and ensure those ideas come to life. Whether it’s providing strategic thought partnership with entrepreneurs and organization leaders or architecting bold initiatives and providing support on a project to ensure success, Simon is here to help you achieve your vision.
Simon holds a Bachelor of Science in political science from Colorado State University Pueblo.
